Claim and Warranty Policies

Claims and Warranty

Georgia Carpet Restoration is dedicated to customer service and our claims division will work to help or resolve any claim and/or product warranty issue that buyer or end-user may face.  We would determine the cause of damage based on the information and we file the claim with the responsible party.  Please note that we are not responsible for any incidental damage that can occur during transit or offer extended warranties.  We mainly file the claim for you and do everything we can to make sure it will be decided in your favor. Please see below for more details:

-Freight Related Claims:  We select and try to work with freight and delivery companies that have a low claim rate. Unfortunately, it is still possible for freight companies to damage packages during transit.  Freight companies’ claim process works differently than common carriers and it is important to follow the instructions below.  Most of the time damages that occurred during freight shipments are visible, so the receiver has to inspect any visible damage and note on the paperwork before signing any paperwork provided by the freight line or driver.  If the receiver signs the paperwork without noting any damages, it means that they are agreeing with the freight lines statement that the shipment was received in good condition and usually freight lines deny a claim if the damage was not noted on the original paperwork before the product is received.  Please also remember to contact us to start the claim process.

-Non-freight damage Claims: It is also possible that the manufacturer might send a defective/damaged product.  This might be hidden damages that can be only seen when the product is unpacked or unrolled fully.  We can also file a claim with the manufacturer for these products.  Please don’t install or cut any damaged product once damage/defect is realized (this is important depending on the circumstances, a claim can be denied if the product is fully installed or cut).  Contact us and we will start a claim with the manufacturer.

-Warranty Claims:  We can file a warranty claim for any product that was purchased from us.  Only an authorized dealer can file a warranty claim with the manufacturer and we are authorized dealers of any brand we carry, including Shaw. Note: It is important to follow the manufacturer’s installation and maintenance guidelines for warranty.
